You could have tongue depressors for drink stirrers or for use with spreads for sandwiches, instead of a butter knife. You could have two or three animal shaped pinatas, group party guests into teams...have one person on the team break the pinata and then the team has to fix it back up with bandages and such--best team gets some type of party favor or gift card.
You could have an eye chart(borrowed from a eye doctor) on the wall or make your own look-a-like chart.
The invitations could look like a nurses cap.

sounds like you are off to a good start with your ideas.........should be a fun party...congrats by the way.......
maybe some games ? everyone has face mask......anyone says nurse thru the night loses their mask to whoever hears and steals the mask.....the one with the most masks at the end of the night wins a prize?
maybe a game where everyone draws an "sick" card...and has to give their symptoms ....the one who guesses correctly most often wins?
scrambled medical terms( that most people are familiar with of course would not be fair to use words only learned in medical college))
some creative names for meals.... Nurse (insert your name here) get well soup, Fever chili (guaranteed to make your temperature rise), etc etc
hope this helps have a great party

Congrats on your graduation. If I was throwing the party for you, I would hire a male stripper dressed as a surgeon!!!

I ended up having the greatest graduation party I threw myself with the following:
Invitations were just printed on nice paper, but closed with stickers shaped like bandaids.
Invited everyone to wear scrubs, my 3 sons and I did too. You can get child sized ones at scrub stores. I wore my white graduation ones with my white cap I made myself. My aunt came dressed up with a wrapped up leg and on crutches, lol.
Food like chips was served in new/clean bedpans.
I filled the large syringes for g-tubes with mustard and mayo.
I reverse filled an IV bag with punch.
I had displays of tables around the room that had:
- all of my nursing school (not math, english, etc, but nursing books) and the total cost of them, just to amaze people at the cost.
- a display of BP cuffs, which doesn't sound too interesting till you realize they come in preemie, newborn, infant, child, adult and obese, which made a cool display.
Each guest table had a display of an antique metal bed pan borrowed from an uncle with an antique store and in it flowers, bandages, and various medical pamphlets, syringes, etc. Anything I could find that was cheap or cute.
I gave out gifts of squishy brains a mini IV bags I got from an online novelty company.
I gave the kids all a few saline filled sterile tubes (made for trachs) that I found for free. I gave them a trash can and let them squirt each other outside. No one would get hurt from saline solution, lol.
Lastly I had an ambulance shaped piñata (I was an EMT before becoming a nurse) that I filled with some medical themed candy from same novelty site and cute themed band aids.
I planned way ahead so got most of my stuff on eBay, borrowed it, got it on sale, etc.
I think we all had a great time.
Don't forget to make sure you hire or ask someone to help or do the clean up so you can just enjoy your day!
