Unless she was having sex with her friend who had AIDS, she can NOT have HIV.

My uncle had HIV/AIDS and died back in 1997. I never knew he had the virus until he actually died from it (I was a little girl). My family would always get together and hang out and have parties and he was always there. My brothers and I always hung out with him (he was the fun uncle) and played games and what not. NONE of the kids in my family ever got HIV from him. You can't get the virus from just casual every day contact, like playing games or hugging.

I REALLY doubt your girlfriend has HIV, but she can always get tested if she wanted to know for sure. But, unless she had sex with her friend who had AIDS, chances of her having HIV are pretty impossible.

WOW!! 10 that's pretty young! Are you saying hung around somebody or had sex with them? Regardless you both should have the test. That way she won't feel like you are singleing her out. That can take up to 10 years to show up. It would be a good feeling to know for sure wouldn't it? If she does you should just break away. It would be different if you were just friends but a girlfirend would be hard to have with nothing intimate.

If she was ten, and she was, as you describe it, "hanging around" with someone who had AIDS, it is very unlikely that she got it from them. AIDS is only transferred through bodily fluids such as semen, blood, breast milk, and vaginal secretions, and the likelihood of her coming in contact with any of those from her friend is very low. Simply being around a person, holding hands, hugging, even kissing, will not transfer the virus - however, if this is an issue that is really bothering the two of you, she could always get her blood checked.

Get yourself educated on Aids for starters. This is a disease that is only transmissable through sexual fluids, or blood. And I doubt that she was THAT close to this person at 10 years old.

You cannot get HIV/AIDS by "hanging around" or being friends with someone who has this virus. Experts believe it is not spread by casual contact. The virus is spread through and exchange or exposure to body fluids, dirty or used needles, or intimate contact. If your friend thinks she was exposed, she should talk to an adult that she trusts and seek medical attention.

You cant get aids by hanging out with someone. Unless they were having sex, and I really hope not at that age, or mixed bodily fluids in some way, ie blood to open wounds ect, then she should be clean

You cannot get AIDS from hanging around someone. Unless your girlfriend is on drugs, or had sex with the friend (if its a guy) she can't have it.

Just cause your around someone with aids does not mean you are going to get aids.

What do you want to know? DOes she have it? If she did anything with this person when she was 10yr if she had aids it would of showed up within 3yrs. SOOOOOO I would say if she didnt do anything with this person she is fine.
