In addition to Faye Ray and Naomi Watts, Jessica Lange played the lead in the 1976 version with King Kong at the World Trade Center. I remember that especially because I worked across the street at Merrill Lynch when they were filming it. They kept the ape covered with an emormous tarp when they weren't filming. It was big!

In the original it was Fay Wray. The last one was Naomi Watts. She wanted to be held the way a monkey would hold a banana.
King Kong would not have fallen off the Empire State Building if he didn't step on his discarded banana peel.

The one I always remember is Jessica Lange, because she supposedly went to my high school in Minnesota for a brief time. What a claim to fame!!
