Any section of society that sleeps around a lot (different partners) will be prone to becoming HIV+, then if they do not look after their health they progress to AIDS quicker. Gays were probably the first with AIDS in the public eye, but that is probably because the first folks with AIDS were in Central Africa where life span was not long anyway.

I do not think AIDS is gay at all. It is a break down of the immunity that even non homosexual persons can get.
