If you kiss someone that is having an outbreak you can catch it.But some people are immune to them.Not me I have to take acyclavir for my outbreaks and it works wonders.

Yes you can, if the individual has Herpes Simplex or Genital Herpes II. Contrary to opnions here, they do not need to be in a breakout to transmit the virus. Viral cells are shed at any time.

Yes as long as there is skin to skin contact you can get herpes. It doesn't even matter if it is visible.
