no, this is him being careful. You should want this before any sexual encounter.

It means he is being responsible about his sexual health. Everyone should be tested before having sex with a new partner. Since the majority of conditions have no symtoms, the only way to know is to have a blood test.
Remember that blood test will not pick up HPV. He may still be able to spread it to you even with normal bloodwork. Be sure to use a condom no matter what the test results show.

It means he wants to have sex with you, and he's trying to be responsible about it. He could or could not want a long-term commitment. I would take it as a good sign that he's willing to wait for test results before having sex; it does indicate that he may be willing for a long-term thing, but it doesn't guarantee anything.

sounds like a fairly level-headed guy. I wouldn't leap into the long term commitment dream yet. It just means that he is wanting to make sure that all is well before you consider playing 'hide the purple parsnip'.
I think it is definately a worth while thing for both of you to be tested.

Cuz, you guy deserves it.
It's impossible for anyone to get into his head and tell you if his decision to be tested is because of his plans for long term commitment. But, he sounds like a respectable responsible guy, who doesn't want to infect (or affect) you in a negative way. That being said... those sound like the traits a guy who is the type to commit would have. Time will tell.

It means you need to find another boyfriend, the one you have is at best questionable. Life isn't Star Trek and you are certainly not "boldly going where no one has gone before" if you get with this guy. If he's not sure of his own health, use your brain. It's not a great leap of intellect to figure out maybe it isn't wise to possibly expose yourself to a potential infection.

It just means he wants to have sex with you, to very few that actually means a long term commitment.

Not necessarily...he may just be a good guy who doesn't want to spread whatever STD he may have to his girlfriend. It means he is sexually responsible.
