If they are freshly cooked,a four hour flight will not hurt, better to pack them after they have cooled, soon as you get home attend to this first,if you mean to have a helping at the next meal this stays comfortably in the fridge, the rest goes in the freezer in packs sufficient for each meal,as advised already, thawing must take place in the fridge.

packing them in dry ice is the best bet. But do find out from the airline whether they allow this and if they do, how many kilo of ice max u can bring. If the airline u are on serves hot meal, there is a possibility that they have dry ice in their chilling bins/cart. They also might have proper chilling storage for u to keep the packed crab.

For air travel, get a blue ice pack - tape a crab to each side of the ice pack then wrap in newspaper.
That should keep your crabs fresh for a day of air travel.

To transport cold food, wrap it and then place in an ice chest that contains ice cubes or freezer packs.
This according to the USDA.

Stick em in the freezer, they will keep for up to 3 months. Make sure you thaw them in the refridgerator though.
