I have none right now. I would consider getting a memorial tattoo in the future, and maybe something that could cover some bad surgical scarring.

I would get something original that you design or have your tattoo artist put something together for you. look at the picture of the tattoos and put a couple of them together { a piece from one and a piece from another}. Thats what i did and it came out great and i'm the first to have that tattoo. It's a arrowhead with feathers and leather lace.

On my left arm I have palm trees swaying in the wind, fading into the sun, reminding me of where I came from. This tattoo also encompasses an earlier barb wire arm band. On my right arm I have a sparrow in front of a heart, flying through a storm. It's my "freedom to love despite the storms." On my right shoulder blade I have the Japanese symbol for "dream," just a reminder and on my right calf I have a nautical star with the Japanese symbol for love. This symbolizes that love will lead me home.

I didn't get my first until was forty years old. My right shoulder has my husband's name within a heart, my left shoulder has a crucifix surrounded by a crown of thorns. My back has a fairy that I designed myself. I would like one more around my ankle.

My husband had Jesus done over his heart area when he fully recovered from heart surgery (as the Lord was holding his heart.) Last year he had a lovely shield and eagle feather extending from his right shoulder to almost elbow.

Why did we get tattooed so late in our lives? Well, I was so happy to know my husband would live after being in ICU for 2 months. When someone you love gets a new life, you celebrate, right?

Im 19 and I have three of them already

#1 is located on my right shoulder blade its a heart with a devil's fork stuck through it and a devil's tail out of it and the word Angel across it with a halo on the left side of the heart. It means I'm good and bad.

#2 is located in the middle of my back up by my neck its a butterfly. It means freedom.

#3 is located on my right leg on the right side its a little devil with a innocent look. It means I am not so innocent as people think I am.

I have an eagle tattoo on my shoulder.

Why? Because I was going through a hard time and I wanted to remember it.

I've had it for 15 years and I love it.

I have multiple tatoos that I have morphed into a large back piece. Each part is a specific piece that summarizes a stage, place or major event in my life. Everthing from a campfire to a mountain and galaxy scene. Components are pieces that are important to me, and the place person or event that was with me. I carry those places and memories with me to remember and to honor.

Do not have any! What appears to be trendy and fashionable now, become eyesores in later years. They also stereotype you as being of little worth intellectually. Try to imagine yourself at eighty years old with butterfly tattoos on your shoulders or applying for a prestigious job with Love - Hate on your fingers or small birds at the base of your thumbs. If you must have tattoos, have them on your backside and only let your dearest and nearest see them.

http://www.ratemyink.com/?action=ssp&pid=24747
http://www.ratemyink.com/?action=ssp&pid=25077

but i would also have:
*a ribcage zodiac piece
(a actually have all of the qualities of my zodiac and it is quite odd i think)
*i would have an artichoke
(i love artichokes and so does my sister so it reminds me of us)
*a bleeding heart that is wounded and trying to fly away
(because everything good in life causes pain and that would be my way of representing that)
*and something to do with my love of reading
(i love to read and i think i have a great idea for something to pay tribute to it. not enough people read these days jus for fun.)

so far that's all i can think of that i want.
