I am a Christ follower - a Christian
Fundamentals-Certain truths which are fundamental to Christianity:
1. Divine Creation
2. Inerrancy of Scripture
3. Virgin birth of Christ
4. Christ's deity
5. Substitutionary atonement
6. Bodily Resurrection
7. Physical return
8. Existence of literal heaven & hell

Good Christians might disagree in other areas but to deny these fundamentals is to abandon Christianity and to me abandon the Word of God.

Christian churches can only offer fellowship with other believers.
To know the teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ you must read His Word - the Holy Bible. I prefer the King James Version, but many prefer the NIV. Salvation is simple "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." It is good to be baptised by the church. I am a Protestant Christian - raised Baptist. God says in His Word "Man cannot live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God (His Bible). You must eat and you must read the Bible. Both are nourishment - good physical - Bible spiritual.

Remember one thing and remember this well - The church is not always full of Christians - the wicked have come in to change the doctrine and tickle the ears of the church people. For this reason, I am explaining to know God's Bible so you can discern good from evil.

I'm Asatru because it gives me a fulfillment in life that no other religion ever could do. It gives me strength in daily life, it gives me hope that there are actually Gods that care, and that stand with you if times are hard. I like being Asatru because its ethos match mine. I like hanging around with people who think that an oath is an oath, for example. And I like Asatru because it describes the world (mundane and spiritual) as I experience it.

The fundamental teachings? I suppose they could be summed up best by the Nine Noble Virtues. Courage, Truth, Honor, Fidelity, Discipline, Hospitality, Industry, Self-Reliance, and Perseverance.

How would someone become Asatru? Well, you Profess your faith in the form of an open oath to the Gods taken during a ritual.

spiritualism
we believe in life after death proven through spirit communications
i found this religion through my own experiences with spirit ... so it just met with my own beliefs
if someone wished to enter my religion i guess the only thing required is an open mind and an open heart

we do have 7 principles that one should try to live by
but of course there are no consequences ... i.e no sin , no punishement ... just try to live a good life and loving your fellow man
these are the principles

I am an atheist. Atheism is not a religion and has no teachings. It's greatest virtue is that atheists tend to not buy into superstitious religious crap. We stand on firmer ground, which gives us a unique outlook on other religion's "teachings".

For a good book about athiesm, read Richard Dawkins' "The God Delusion".

I believe in the worship of YHWH, because he created the whole universe and for that reason deserves our worship. (Rev. 4:10,11)

Because of rebellion YHWH sent /dispatched Jesus to the earth to teach and intercede for us and so we are required to worship the Father, the Holy Spirit, 2Cor 3:17, through Jesus. (John 8:23)

If we love God we obey him. In the Bible you can find his commandments.

When I was a very young girl I watched a movie about the persecution of Jesus Christ called "The King of Kings". The movie touched me deeply and I prayed that night that, if Christ returned while I was still on Earth, I would not reject Him as so many did so long ago. Many years later God answered my prayer:

1. “Verily I say, this is the Day in which mankind can behold the Face, and hear the Voice, of the Promised One. The Call of God hath been raised, and the light of His countenance hath been lifted up upon men. It behoveth every man to blot out the trace of every idle word from the tablet of his heart, and to gaze, with an open and unbiased mind, on the signs of His Revelation, the proofs of His Mission, and the tokens of His glory.

Great indeed is this Day! The allusions made to it in all the sacred Scriptures as the Day of God attest its greatness. The soul of every Prophet of God, of every Divine Messenger, hath thirsted for this wondrous Day. All the diverse kindreds of the earth have, likewise, yearned to attain it. …” -Baha'u'llah

I didn't recognize Him, though, until I made a genuine effort to distinguish between the Word of God and the word of man. After reading the New Testament from beginning to end, I realized that the Teachings of Christ were quite different than what I had been hearing from the pulpit all these years. I began to follow only the uninterpreted Word of God revealed by Jesus Christ. In time, this led me to Baha'u'llah, the Manifestation of God for this age.

2. “Know thou assuredly that the essence of all the Prophets of God is one and the same. Their unity is absolute. God, the Creator, saith: There is no distinction whatsoever among the Bearers of My Message. They all have but one purpose; their secret is the same secret. To prefer one in honor to another, to exalt certain ones above the rest, is in no wise to be permitted. Every true Prophet hath regarded His Message as fundamentally the same as the Revelation of every other Prophet gone before Him. …
The measure of the revelation of the Prophets of God in this world, however, must differ. Each and every one of them hath been the Bearer of a distinct Message, and hath been commissioned to reveal Himself through specific acts. It is for this reason that they appear to vary in their greatness. …
… God’s purpose in sending His Prophets unto men is twofold. The first is to liberate the children of men from the darkness of ignorance, and guide them to the light of true understanding. The second is to ensure the peace and tranquility of mankind, and provide all the means by which they can be established. …” -Baha'u'llah

Below are some of the main teachings of Baha'u'llah for this age. I have given a short explanation (in alcaps) for a few that might require clarity. If you'd like to investigate further a good starting point is www.bahai.org.

3. "From every standpoint the world of humanity is undergoing a reformation. The laws of former governments and civilizations are in process of revision; scientific ideas and theories are developing and advancing to meet a new range of phenomena; invention and discovery are penetrating hitherto unknown fields, revealing new wonders and hidden secrets of the material universe ; industries have vastly wider scope and production; everywhere the world of mankind is in the throes of evolutionary activity indicating the passing of the old conditions and advent of the new age of reformation. Old trees yield no fruitage; old ideas and methods are obsolete and worthless now. Old standards of ethics, moral codes and methods of living in the past will not suffice for the present age of advancement and progress. ...

Baha'u'llah, the Sun of Truth, has dawned from the horizon of the Orient, flooding all regions with the light and life which will never pass away. His teachings, which embody the divine spirit of the age and are applicable to this period of maturity in the life of the human world are:

The oneness of the world of humanity (ONE HUMAN RACE/FAMILY BOTH PHYSICALLY AND SPIRITUALLY)
The protection and guidance of the Holy Spirit
The foundation of all religion is one (ALL MAJOR RELIGIONS HAVE BEEN SENT TO MANKIND BY THE ONE TRUE GOD)
Religion must be the cause of unity
Religion must accord with science and reason (THE SOURCE OF ALL KNOWLEDGE IS ONE - GOD)
Independent investigation of truth (NO CLERGY TO INTERPRET THE HOLY WRITINGS)
Equality between men and women
The abandoning of all prejudices among mankind (ETHNICITY, GENDER, RELIGIOUS, ETC.)
Universal peace
Universal education (ALL CHILDREN IN THE WORLD)
A universal language (ALL HUMANS WILL LEARN AN AUXILLIARY UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE IN ADDITION TO THEIR MOTHER TONGUE)
Solution of the economic problem (ELIMINATION OF THE EXTREMES OF WEALTH AND POVERTY)
An international tribunal" (UNITED NATIONS IS A 1ST STEP - WELL, 2ND TO BE MORE ACCURATE)
