No contact, not even emails. We are experiencing some uncertainties in our relationship. Does this sound like a good idea?

I dont know. SOunds like she has been reading some type of relationship book and attempting to take the techniques for a test run. I would recommend you voice your opinion on the matter and try and get to the root of the uncertainties. Maybe this is her version of a time out. She may just need to clear her head. There maybe other things going on in her life that you have no clue about and right now you are just a distraction. This has happened quite frequently.

This sounds like the end of the relationship. If he is going through AA or something you may just need to let him go. It's good for him but recovering alcoholics are in no place to be in a relationship. Maybe someday when his head is in a better place you two could make it work but find some happiness for yourself. I'm sure you've done enough worrying about this man to last a lifetime. Now do some worrying about you.

If you can't see eachother for 40 days thats a bit retarded...but if you think you can work through it and that its real love,then stick it out,if not dump him.
