i believe this is good aperture for low light

As an old time photographer, the quality of the image from the f1.4 aperture may or may not be better. The larger aperture f1.4 will allow more light to get to the medium, but that does not insure a better image. So, to say which would be the cheapest cannot be answered from this criteria alone.
