It is not a religion. The assertion is stating that any group not associated with the institution are still affiliated with that institution. Are unmarried people married? Are non-students students? Faith requires belief without truth, atheism is a lack of that faith. Why is that so hard for people to understand?

Yes, I agree. Atheism is a black hole that people choose to crawl into. There is nothingness there.

Take it one step further: the dictionary definition for religion, clearly states that a supernatural being is the focal point of religions.

Someone who believes fervently, simply can't wrap their brain around those who don't believe, and in order to compensate for their lack of imagination, think that everyone has a religion.

How does that song go..."everybody knows that the world is full of stupid people..."

if athiesm is a lack of faith then faith is the ability to beleive without reason.

faith is the stupidest thing ever. You may as well just come out and say, well there's no proof or evidence to suggest its real, but i still think it is anyway.

It is owing to the perception of a person towards the world and its surrounding and the realization of his own spirit regarding his own existence and the surroundings. Most important of all the open door to the heart to listen to the universe and accept the truth.

I wish they would continue and explain why it is not a lack of belief, but a religion. They have come to this conclusion some how, I just have yet to figure it out.

I have faith but not in another person or body or object. I have faith in myself. My not having faith in the gods does not mean I lack faith! In fact, it's wrong to ascribe faith exclusively to religion.
