I am working on a degree in history, intend to specialize in religious history and write books on the topic. Right now I am in my second year at college and this quarter I am taking "Philosophy of Religion" (its a secular college by the way) and next quarter I'll finish my math, science and P.E. requirements.
Right now I am writing a book on America's Christian Heritage. I have read 300 academic books on the topic, talked to professors from Yale and Indiana university, handwritten nearly 600 pages of notes, and right now I have typed about 180 pages of the actual book and I am almost up to the Revolutionary War. I actually had a lot more on the Founding Fathers than I thought I did, particularly George Washington.
I haven't made up my mind yet, but the two other books floating in my head is one about the Church Fathers, particularly after Paul and before Constantine. Or perhaps I will study the origins of both the Greek Orthodox and the Catholic Church.
If not that, I am sort of interested in a criticism of the Episcopal Church.......... But I'll spare you the details.
Another idea that sort of died down was a criticism of the religious-right.
But the only other book that I actually am working on from time to time is a fiction book, basically an action/adventure mimicking my favorite author's books.
Oh and one more book idea is a rebuttal of Thomas Paine's "Age of Reason" but I actually agree with quite a lot of it, but some of it is utterly foolish.
I learned New Testament Greek last year, hope to learn Hebrew soon, and eventually either Latin or Arabic.
Also I hope to take down "imacatholic2" and be supreme on Yahoo Answers R&S

I'm moving from Canada to the United States to be with my American husband.
We have talked about eventually opening our own hotel. It would be absolutely wonderful to own our own place but we'll see what happens. At the least, we're going to both establish our careers in the hotel industry. We've both been working in hotels for many years now.
Not sure if we'll have kids or not. I'm 30 and he's 32, so we're starting to get a little old to start thinking about it. Plus, I rather like being aunty because I can send them home to their parents later and I don't have to have them around all the time (they're fun to play with though). I'm not the motherly type.
As for the rest, we'll see.

I dont like to think about "the rest of my life." My life could be over before I finish typing this, and it could be over in ninety years. I have no control over it. So I live in the moment. and do what I believe is best (well not always, alot of times I do what I believe is worst)

I'm 65 and I"m retired now.. and I have time to enjoy my grandchildren and persue my favorite hobbys, and take a few more classes I always wanted to but didn't have time for.
Maybe this will be a hobby... that is.. If youngsters are interested in what a grandma has to say. If you see my avatar... it's that grandma person again. Thanks for the positive responses to my answers so far. I just pretend I'm talking to my children/grandchildren. (hugs)

Take care of myself physically and mentally, continue being the best parent I can be, keep those people who are most important to me close to my heart and make them as happy as I can.
