Julie,
I am an EC teacher in NC. I serve AU on all of the spectrum. There should be resources for contact groups through your school or their EC department. There may be a local ASNC (Autism Society Chapter) in your area or even check with your local Mental Health Dept. TEAACH is another group I would highly recommend touching base with. The best advise I can give to you besides advocating diligently for your child at his school setting; is to read and contact as many agencies as you can to educate you and your family in the variety of ways you can accommodate your child and families needs at home, and through school.
The very best of luck to you and yours!

Has she contacted Social Services? They may be able to help or sure start may have info to help you? Her HV may also be able to provide information regarding local groups.
Otherwise you could search on the net, even if there is nothing local you may find an online parents group/support board.

I would start with a clinic closest to where your friend lives.

Let me know if you would like more information on natural treatment that may be able to help.
