To register a puppy you have to own the mother and she and the father must both be KC registered themselves.

You will need both their KC registration numbers.

Also the mother must be between 1 and 8 years old.

If you comply with all these conditions go on the kennel club website and download a form.

If you have bred a pedigree litter of staffy puppies, you should have been given the mating certificate of the stud dog, plus pedigree and transfer of ownership certificate from the breeder of your staffy girl (mother of your pups). Find the KC club info on the web, and call them - tell them what paperwork you have, and ask their advice. In any case, the address for KC should be on your transfer of ownership papers. If you do not have the relevant paperwork required by the KC, it is unlikely you will be able to register the litter - hope you have everything though, and best of luck. Hope this helps.

I rather suspect that if you have to ask the question then you can't do it.

Too many people breed their dogs in the hope of making a bit of money by having them registered. If you have been told that you can do this, then you have been given some duff information.

Just sell the puppies for what they are rather than what they could be. Unless ***** and dog are registered, you can't do a darned thing.

Sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear - but it is just the way things are. Mind you - your pups are probably healthier than a lot of KC registered animals - the buyers will just have a bit of a problem showing them at Crufts!

You cant KC Register pups unless both Sire and Dam are both KC Registered themselves.

If they are then you send off the form you received when you purchased your pup, make sure the breeder has filled it in and signed it. If you have have bred a litter from KC staffs then you need to send for a puppy registration pack from the KC, fill in what you need to as breeder and sign, then hand them over with sale of each pup for new owners to send off.

Hope that helps.

Any more info you can contact the KC direct.

If you bred the litter, you can register the puppies only if:
The sire & dam are both registered with the KC, the dam is between the ages of 1 & 8yrs & you are the registered owner of the dam.
You can download a litter registration form here:

If you didn't breed the puppy, there is no way you can register it. Only the breeder can do this.

Put KC registering in google search. You might be able to do it over the internet. Or ask at your local vets

you cant, you have to be an offical member of the kennel club (KC). To do this (im not sure but) you have to be like a very important dog breeder or something.

But anyway, staffies are part of the kennel club, arent they?
