This is a trick question I know it. There is no doubt in my mind. The thing is full of contradictions and not just the ones you mention. It's full of historical, geological, biological, and other gross inaccuracies. I will not venture into morals. Suffice to say that the morals of the good book would today lock you up as criminally insane. I mean if today I take out my young boy tress him up and get ready to slit the kid's throat in the name of god what do you think we will do to a father like that. I doubt very much that he will be admired by millions. But after all that "story was borne in the bronze age and possibly earlier. I have this feeling that the majority of the believers do not have a clue what BRONZE AGE means. Not as a date but as living in the bronze age. We do no really have extensive scientific evidence but fro the little we know it was a terrifying time to be alive and alien to our way of life so alien as to be incomprehensible that people could actually survive the conditions. The further back you go the worst it gets.

There are many others. But only open-minded people accept those contradictions, not hard-nosed Christians. When it suits them, the bible is God -inspired and has no errors or contradictions - when the going gets tough, different men wrote it from their understanding! That's bible for you!!!

There are very many contradictions in the Bible. In fact for everything positive there is something negative about the same subject. I believe the Old and new Testaments bear this out.

Whenever I go to someone who has an advanced understanding of the Bible and present them contradictions they end up running circles around me.

I don't even bother with the contradictions in the Bible as it is useless. Go to a Christian news feed and ask there, you will probably receive a lot of information from knowledgeable scholars.

Edit:
Here are a few examples.

The first contradiction:

The Second:

The Third

etc.

Man... if anyone I know could come up with this earlier, I wouldn't have to waste 20 years of my life doubting about leaving the religion.

2 Sam, ch 24, v1 "Now then the anger of the Lord burned against Israel, and it incited David against them to say"Go, number Israel and Judah."

So just going by your first verse, you illustrate not having read the book or the context behind the point you are trying to make.
