is there any function on the key board which will help to convert is to lower case letters

select the text you want to change and press SHIFT+F3 this will change the case to small and pressing it again will change in Camel casing and if u press SHIFT+F3 again will change it back to capital letters

No, but if you can get the dissertation into Microsoft Word, you can select all the text and turn it into all lower case. Good luck getting the first letter of every sentence back to capitals automatically, though. Can't think of how to do that.

I can't remember how you do that in Word. I have "Ted Notepad", which is a free replacement for Notepad. It has case conversion which allows you put selected text into "Sentence case", which is all lower with the first letter capitalised.

They'd still have to go through it to capitalise names and stuff though. How did they get in such a pickle?

Copy the whole thing to Microsoft Word. (You can just hit CTRL + A on the keyboard to highlight the whole thing, then hit CTRL + C to copy it. Once you have Word open, hit CTRL + V to paste it.)

Once it's in Microsoft Word, just click on FORMAT, then CHANGE CASE, and select Sentence Case. (Sentence case will change all the letters to lower case, and capitalize the beginning letter of each sentence. Make sure you proofread it to correct any case errors.)
