Chew your food more slowly and dont drink with your meal as it dilutes your digestive enzymes .gas happens when foods are partially broken down

Wind is perfectly natural and healthy! I think that probably your problem is not with the flatulence but when you decide to relieve it.

Go and read the book or watch the cartoon film by Roald Dhal - or ask Sophie, his Granddaughter! I think that he called them 'Whizz-bangs' - a very fitting description! Apparently it was a type of lemonade that brought them on!

Also, have you tried watching 'Mythbusters'? Can't recall if it was Adam or Jamie - but one of them actually sat in a bath collecting the 'whizz-bang' (they didn't actually call it that on the programme, they used the word that began with F and ended with T.

A lot of the time the wind is there, not because of diet but because it has been stored behind a motion that hasn't been passed. This is more likely to come out as a 'puff' and will smell really bad. The fun ones are the really noisy ones - and they usually don't smell too much, either!

Enjoy breaking wind - just make sure that you choose the right place to do it!

Someone mentioned Beanz Meanz Heinz! Don't forget that little old rhyme - Beans, beans, good for the heart, the more you eat the more you - well, you know the rest, don't you? The point is, that it really is good for the heart!

Having read most of the replies (and agreeing with most of them), I can tell you that I suffer, occasionally, with the same problem. However, I have learnt to live with it and still continue to eat the "forbidden fruit".
There is one thing you could consider. Certain prescription drugs can cause excess flatulence and when combined with beans, sprouts etc. could well exacerbate the situation. Either read the side effects caused by any drugs you are currently taking, or alternatively, a visit to your doctor may help !!

Hoping you have "fartogo"

Popcorn, broccoli. When you eat those beans, add dehydrated onions, and use a lot of pepper(more spice to the gas), lol, lol.

For my husband: Greasy/fatty foods. I wasn't aware of this, but many men tell me its true.

For me- broccoli, carrots, cabbage, and apples. But these you can use something like Beano with.
