We believe Quran is word of God and God chose Arabic language for revelation.
Keep these points in consideration.
English Translation of Quran can't be called Quran.
Reading translation of Quran can guide you, benefit you. But its not equivalent to reciting Quran (in Arabic)
While you read english translation, you can't call it Tilawah (recitation). Your reading will be considered as an attempt to learn Islam and Quran.
You should do both reciting in Arabic and reading translation in english. none is substitute of others.
It will be excllent if you learn Arabic to understand What God is telling you in His own words.

Even if you spend whole your life to learn Arabic for understanding Quran directly, that will be worthy investment for your life after death.

Of course, you SHOULD read it in a language that you understand - I have been reading it in both English & Arabic (and Urdu too) for 13 years now. The whole point of reading the Quran is understanding it so read it in the language that you understand.

This website has English translation by three different authors, Pickthall, Shakir & Yusuf Ali. There are many, many other sites but I like this one.

you can read the english translation of Quran, but recitation must be in Arabic...its not too late and too hard to learn how to recite quran in arabic. first you must know the letters, then how to pronounce each letters, then to pronounce them as a word...good luck with learning to recite Quran....though you should be most careful when surfing on the internet about any information regarding Islam, most of them are false..

if u search in an islamic bookstore near u, u may find a quran wid verses written in arabic on one side n in english on the oder.
also, a digital quran helps alot!
its fine if u read it in eng but only in the beg. u mus work hard 2 read it in arabic n believe me it isnt tough at all! u can surf the net 4 sites 2 learn arabic online

There is nothing wrong with it, but the Qur'an is in Arabic, its exact meaning is in Arabic. There are several translations in English, but only one Qur'an in Arabic.

Maybe you should read a transliteration, so you can learn Arabic at the same time. But be sure to read the translation at the same time too.

the soul of quran is it in arabic langauge.
for sure there whould be good reason, that god choose his langauge in arabic.

i know 3 languages, and when i speak arabic i feel i am very relax with it, but the two other make my mouth painful.
