for me it's NERO

you can always go for NERO (6 or 7) the full version, it has a really friendly interface and it comes with somthing called NERO VISION which will help you encode, split, decode, create menu screens.. etc of all the video options you like. Best of luck

Nero 7. Some folks like roxio, but most use Nero in any version.
