You won't be able to buy it without VAT. items under £17 can be imported VAT free, which, of course, doesn't include the camera you want. If you were to buy it from a store abroad, VAT and customs duty would be charged on entry to the UK. You would have to pay the postman before he handed you your parcel. Also buying cameras abroad is not to be recommended as your warranty is often not effective and you won't have the benefit of statutory consumer protection. Use a price comparison search site like www.kelkoo.co.uk to find the cheapest place to buy.

I would not get on from abroad as waraty problems could be an issue Dixons or curries where i got mine as they had £75 off when i got mine just before Xmas .But it is an exelent camera i have no complaints
