I kind of lost interest in NASCAR when they began messing with the bodies and making all cars fit the same templates. And I'm sure when they go to this "world car" thing I will lose interest totally. I'm a "run what ya brung" type of guy. Let the car makers design the cars and the best man wins. That being said...I didn't think Toyota would use something as antiquated as a push rod V-8 since it's a pretty high tech company. I watched the Daytona 500 and heard the announcer mention that one team was using Hendrick motors. I thought Hendrick only did Chevy motors. I also thought the car motor had to match the car make...i.e. Ford motor in a Ford...Chevy motor in a Chevy...etc. So what gives? What make of engine are the Toyotas running?

They use a Toyota based engine. The only thing you can buy is the block. everything else is custom. I too agree that the one template thing sucks. Run whatever manufacturer you chose. Buy your cars from a dealership and build your car.

i do not see how Toyota became allowed in interior the first position, Toyota hasn't ever produced a push rod V-8 earlier to transferring into NASCAR. It also sickens me that Toyota builds the racing engines, finished administration and mega money. A crew can construct their own Chevy, save away from or Ford engine or purchase or employ one from Roush, Hendrick or Childress etc. no longer Toyota, you could in effortless words purchase one from Toyota. i do not comprehend the info, yet there would nicely be some thing about the Toyota engine used interior the truck sequence that would not meet Cup spec's. I favor the guidelines from the previous the position a producer had to grant a minimum of 500 of a given sort earlier it will be seen by NASCAR for competetion. That meant you or I had a probability to purchase one !
