MAKE SURE YOU READ BEFORE REPLYING...alot of people ask are psychics real then ask them to tell thier future or win the lottery, but as i said in a previous answer, that image you have of psychics is nothing but hyped up media garbage. Real psychics often time cannot even controll thier powers, see alot of things connected to thier life, and dont even know that they had a vision untill it came true. Just because we can see the future sometimes doesnt mean we know yours and everyone elses. For example my first vision was when i was 13 and i saw a specific pop-up on my computer that I have never seen before. I didnt know why I had the vision, I didnt suddenly know everyone elses future, but i did know at that point psychics exsist and i was 1. To me the problem occurs in two main places, the first is when people by into the garbage they see on tv of a fraud trying to make a quick buck, and the second is not understanding how it really works, so it leads you to jump to your own assumption

My favorite come back to the psychics on TV regards why the first thing they ask for is my credit card number. You pretty much summed up why people don't believe in psychic abilities. At the same time you reminded me of a young adult who was introduced into the psychic side of life, with a vision that allowed his life to continue on. That vision not only saved my life, it got my interest for a lifetime.

You have been exposed to the other sense that you have, and now it's up to you to understand and develope it. You won't find much help from those who call themselves "Christian," or "Muslim," or "Jew." Those people are so carried away by worrying about the "false prophet" that they see him/her in everyone who claims to have the "power." So you are pretty much on your own, in today's world.

Don't let that get you down though. Use every resource at you disposal to understand psychic awareness. Learn to "tune in" to your "inner self."

Regards,

Chris

When did you realize you had seen it before, was it before or after. Keep a journal of your visions at the point that they occur, then come back to that journal to review it.

Our brains our pattern matching machines. We all make predictions about the future to proceed to the next course of actions. These predictions are always based on previous memories.

I do not believe in psychics in a spiritual sense, I more so believe some people have a far more sufficient pattern recognition than other people.

Almost everyone I have spoken with has unconsciously been influenced by previous memories they do not recall. As an example, I can often tell what the end of a movie is going to be like within the first ten minutes. This is not a spiritual guide informing me what is going to happen, it is based on my brain a pattern recognition machine choosing the most likely scenario to occur. It is a feeling I get from watching the characters interact with one another and their environment. I get the same thing in everyday life. I can often select the number someone I know is guessing. I can complete other people's sentences.. This is normal, not spiritual.

Actually, some psychics can see your future. And some do know when they are having a vision. A strong vision is unmistakable. I've had plenty. It really varies from psychic to psychic. I've had experiences that other psychics don't have. So, we can't be lumped together.

It does make it very confusing for the non-believers out there. Too many think that psychics in general can do it all, including the winning lottery numbers. And that's not the definition of a psychic. Nor are they all messengers of evil. Nor can they be compared to biblical figures of the time. Psychics today are very different. There's little difference in a christian having a vision and a psychic having one. And there are plenty of christian psychics out there too. And being paid to be a psychic is no different than any other paid service. Too many misconceptions, to answer your question.

And sorry deazone, but you are a psychic. You don't have to call it spiritual. But pattern recognition doesn't work at all.

Because people who doubt psychics are looking for the wrong things from them anyway. I honestly don't care if a greedy person who wants me to tell them the lottery numbers doubts me as a psychic. And to be quite honest, all the stupid blathering about "tell me about my future love life" , those people need to be smacked.
If they TRULY doubt that psychics exist, they wouldn't be seeking answers from them at all. The fact is that most people WISH that it existed but don't believe that it will ever be proven to them. They WANT you to prove it to them. These people should be avoided. They aren't seeking truth they are usually seeking personal gain.

A true psychic's best use is to help people. Not by telling them that yes, your next boyfriend will be tall dark and dreamy. If anyone claims to be a true psychic they should be working with police to solve crimes or help people in some other substantial fashion, not providing entertainment.

I believe that psychics can receive information about things such as future events. But their information is not from a good source but an evil source. I had a friend whose mother visited a psychic regularly whose information was often accurate. Well the psychic described a future event that was to occur and advised the mother what to do in the situation. When the situation happened, the mother took the psychics advice and because of it my friend (her son) killed himself.
It tells us in the bible that visiting psychics, divination, contacting the dead etc is not to be done as it is dangerous.

The Bible strongly condemns the practice of spiritism, mediums, occult, psychics, etc. (Leviticus 20:27; Deuteronomy 18:10-13). Horoscopes, tarot cards, astrology, fortune tellers, palm readings, séances, etc., fall into this category as well. These practices are based on the concept that there are gods, spirits, or deceased loved ones that can give you advise and guidance. These “gods” or “spirits” are demons (2 Corinthians 11:14-15). The Bible gives us no reason to believe that deceased loved ones can, or would even want to contact us. If they were believers, they are in heaven, enjoying the most wonderful place imaginable – in fellowship with a loving God. If they were not believers, they are in hell, suffering the un-ending torment for rejecting God’s love and rebelling against Him.

I believe there are a number of places from which a person can receive direction. most of these are not healthy. One way is.

"be very careful not to imitate the detestable customs of the nations living there. For example, never sacrifice your son or daughter as a burnt offering. And do not let your people practice fortune-telling, or use sorcery, or interpret omens, or engage in witchcraft, or cast spells, or function as mediums or psychics, or call forth the spirits of the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord"

When we seek guidance from places other than the Lord, we are doubting him, and this is wrong.

If your visions are from the Lord...Good...If not...Pray for them to cease. If you cant tell, then ask the Lord, and read your bible.

If a psychics is wrong, (even about one thing) then they are not to be followed.
It is written it is law
One should never follow what someone tells them when they have been wrong before

Alrighty then...

I believe more in spontaneous ESP and premonition for personal use, rather then "psychics."

Ummm.......are you sure that having a premonition or special insight......labels someone as pychic? I'm confused. I guess their could be different levels though.
