People always make comparisons but I honestly thing that if Tiger played tennis like he plays golf.. He would be the only man in the history of tennis to have never lost a match. That puts what tiger has done on the PGA tour into perspective. Because some people are more impressed with Roger Federers dominance. Truth is Roger only has to worry about One man and one court. Tiger worries about hundreds and always on a different course that are constantly changing over time.... As simple as that

I would say Tiger Woods. Golfers like Tiger, only come once in a generation. Players like Federer, come every few years, and soon Federer will get old and replaced by younger talent like many stars before him, such as Sampras, Agassi, Lendl, etc. In 15 years, Tiger will still be winning majors, while Federer will be in a broadcasting booth.

Having an average day in a golf tournament will not gaurantee a lost tournament. However, a average day on a tennis court will end it for you. To compare to golf, Tiger had his average day at the Accenture Match Play chapionship, and he isn't playing for the title. But when it all comes down to it, you can't compare athletes of different sports. Back in the late 80's and early 90's, Michael Jordan was an unstoppable basketball player, but he still didn't win every game.

Tiger Woods, but then comparing golf to tennis is comparing apples to oranges, one is soooo slow and the other very fast.
But I would still go with Tiger!
