According to Atheists, there is no "place."

Jesus goes on to super-celebrity status, Hitler goes on to hours of History Channel documentaries and ill fame.

"Rewards" of being Jesus-like instead of Hitler-like:
Warm fuzzy feeling, friends, good life

"Meaning" of being Jesus-like instead of Hitler-like:
Being a good person

"Difference" between being Jesus-like instead of Hitler-like:
One is in a peaceful and content lifestyle, the other has to fight off half the known world to get his way and ends up dying anyway

You can have rewards, meaning, and difference without heaven and hell.

Edit: In response to your edit, I would just like to say that no, I can't give you a yes or no answer to "do Jesus and Hitler go to the same place?" If I said yes, that means there is a place, and if I said no you might interpret that to mean that they're going to two different places. You have to be very clear about such things, that's why someone has to explain to you that "there is no place." Your question is just badly worded for a yes or no answer. Be happy, yes or no answers are boring.

Why should there be a difference in the natural process of life and death. If you really think about it ignoring the teachings of any manmade religious texts what would lead you to believe that death is any different than before you were born?

What would make you believe that the people of thousands of years ago had any basis of reason and education that would be superior to the thoughts of modern people? Why not go back to animism and be in touch with the spirits and worship the sun or the ancestors only to make one feel better about their place in the world and that there is an afterlife because of the deep rooted fears that there is nothing afterwards perhaps? With that said your free to believe whatever you want but I think that people are oftentimes incapable of thinking reasonably for themselves in the search for truth and not just believing on faith.

You imply that you need a reward for doing good. Why? Why are you believers so hung up on the carrot or stick approach to questions of morality? What the hell is so wrong with doing the right thing just because it's the right thing to do??!!

Edit: The simple yes or no answer is, of course, yes - duh!! We'll all be worm food in the end. Sucks, doesn't it?

First, there was no "jeebus", it's a myth.

Second, religion (in this case, christianity) is why Hitler happened.

Third, life is a one-shot deal. Some people waste their lives on stupid things (eg. religion), other people think and learn to improve their lives and the lives of others (eg. scientists).

It's pretty selfish to live morally purely because you crave reward, or fear punishment. If it was Hitlers true nature to be an as$ then so be it.

Peoples reward is in the memory of others and the history they leave...if they remember you fondly or hate you for generations to come...

I thought according to christians non-christians all went to the same place... remind me, was hitler a christian or not?

Your argument is basically "I want life to be fair, so there must be a god".

Not exactly...
Jesus ends up in books in churches
Hitler ends up in books in the library
Both become immortalized
Being infamous really just means "I'm famous"

If you do the right things, for the right reasons, you shouldn't hope for heaven or fear hell, imho.

Simple answer for a simple question, eh? OK, then: NO. Satisfied?
