In about a month, I will be a first-time Dad. My wife is Chinese (we live in China), so I need two names for our lovely little girl - one Chinese and one English. Any suggestions? (In fact, we need a third name, a baby name that will be in Chinese. Chinese contributors will know the style of a baby name).

Well, I named my baby girl Jelica (she is 3 weeks old now). We have had few names to consider, so maybe these will help you: Kata, Jana, Katarina, Danica, Nadica. They are not Chinese but lovable anyway

My sister-in-law is Chinese and her name is Yuen Yuen meaning "light and lovely" she chose Pearl as her Western name. When my brother met her he renamed her Pearlie to soften her name and make it sound friendlier.

I love that you are thinking about blending both heritages from the beginning even in her name. Congrats
