No he never did. Although he packed a wallop and severely beat Jess Willard during their championship fight on July 4th 1919, he never killed a man in the ring. Willard actually lived to a ripe old age. Outside of the ring Dempsey was known to be very prpular and likeable and I've never recalled ever hearing where he even assaulted anyone. I read a story I believe in Ring Magazine years ago that a couple of thugs tried to mug him when he was about 70 yrs old and he decked them.

no but he got real close when fighting wilard..of course he was a rough guy..maybe he killed someone in a street fight and we dont even know about it.

no he didn't, but max baer did. one guy bear he fought died in the ring and another guy he fought died in the hospital. a guy Roberto daran fought also died in the hospital.
