What I'm trying to do is type up a work out plan and schedule that has various workouts every day for at least twenty minutes, because I prefer shorter, more intense workouts, and keeping track of how many reps I do. I also want to write down every day what I ate, and how much I ate. Do you think this will help me stick to it or just discourage me? Do you think it'll help me be loyal to myself? Or will it just make me lazier?

Also, what can I do to encourage myself and give me not only physical, but mental energy? I don't want to be obsessed, but right now I'm not in the best mental state I can be. =D

I'm not going to the gym yet.
I can't afford it.
Pretty soon I'll be able to gain access to a gym two steps from my house, for free, but for now I need to do this at home.

Stupid question time: What is a training log?

Oh, and otherwise...I like that advice. That's very helpful, thank you!

training logs are essential if you want to make real gains in the gym. when you go to the gym you have to train like you have a purpose, if not you will never see the results that you desire. if you want to look like an athlete you have to train like one

I find writing down my exercise helps me. I gives me a boost when I look at what I've done, and I also realise why I'm so tired when I look at it!! I find its also helpful to see where I have plateaued out and need to change my routine. I have kept a food diary in the past, its hard work but needs dedication, but you can see where your flaws are, times you get hungry, and how you deal with this hunger. I think writing your schedule, and food diary will help you stick with it, be loyal to yourself and I don't think it will make you lazy, especially since your in a good mindset at the moment.
