The truth is out there as Mulder would say Godzzy. I would never assume to tell anyone that one religion was better than another. It's what is in your heart that counts.

No religion is the true religion. There is just one God who is the true God. The only fact I can give you about God is he loves your scaly green soul and wants more than anything for you to know just how much He does. Religions are faulty as long as humans are in Charge of them. God is in charge of the whole universe, not just religion. Have a talk with him about it. His line is always open. May your green soul have peace.

If you have to worship something why not the Sun? The Sun provides us all with an abundace of energy, does not judge us, and is the true creator of everything on this rock. The Sun does not "work in mysterious ways" or make unproveable promises. You can physically feel and see the Sun. Eventually the truth will come out about our current religions and they will become myth/folklore just as previous religions, but the Sun will still be there burning brightly. If you need some kind of formula...
SUN>MAN>GOD.... Without a Sun, there would be no man. Without man, there would be no god.

Adventists are close to the bible, but just because you claim to be one, that won't help one bit. It's not merely a religion. It's a lifestyle of health and spirituality which invites everyone to have. They don't believe in the soul being seperate from the body, but formed when the body is alive. It's merely the mind.

First of all, you have to define religion. My definition is

"A set of believes and rules that enlighten humans about the purpose of life and the best possible way to live a life beneficial to one's own self, other fellow human beings, other forms of life and the universe as a whole. "

This definition of mine is not a scientific one and apparently opposite to the materialistic point of view of life. If you try to analyze the first part of the definition, you will ask questions like who created us, the relationship of humans with the other part of the animate an inanimate universe. You will be baffled by many theories and religious believes. Questions like is there a GOD? If so, who is he? What are His attributes. etc.

In the second part, you will get rules about how to lead your day-to-day life, in social, professional and family arena.

Now come to your question. If there is a religion and GOD, is it something to be decisively determined by GOD or other superior entity. or is it something each human being has to come to terms with. I think the last is more logical as we humans are created to be very intelligent and are required to use our brain.

So, the best answer to your question is an advice to read about different religions from the point of view of the believers and also the critics. Which religion you honestly and truely find to be most sensible will be the true religion for you.

But remember, you have to try very honestly. Do not be confused. Ask other people, who are followers of a particular religion.

If you ask questions about particular aspects of any religion, then it could be answered. Your question is too broad to be answered in any defendable and intelligible way.

Cheers.

Every religion is damaging to the intellect and none are 'true'. Your scaly green soul doesn't exist.

No religion is the true religion because religion is man trying to reach God, be god or be a part of God and that is impossible. That's a fact jack.

God reached down to man to reconcile him to Himself and regain the communication that was broken. Also, that's a fact jack.

" I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no man comes to the Father but by me." was said by Jesus Christ in John 14:6 and that's a fact jack.

If you walk inside of building that have stain-glass windows, statues, cross, pews, song book, alter, incense, and depending on the denominations, station-of-the-cross, relics etc...this building does not title it self a church until you walk inside, right? You are the church. The people are the church.

Religion is not on man's interpretation of Bible, but of what God written the Bible of its' purpose. The religion (man) can not save you, but the belief in our Lord Jesus Christ will save your soul.

Ok, directly to your question. Read the Holy Bible, and if the religion do not preach the soul word of the Bible and then you the truth. You have the love to call upon the Holy Spirit and He will lead you to the truth. You already know the falsities of religions in this country, because now you're seeking the truth.

Ask the Holy Spirit, He had guild me in many ways...

God Bless

"Religion" is the true religion. All religion forms speculations about the nature of God and the basis of moral philosophy, and every religion encapsulates its conclusions in symbolic rituals (from which come the dogmatic mythology of the cult), meditative practices, and foundational documents.
