my finches nest is pretty small (I made it out of a milk carton like you get in school) there are currently 5 eggs, I will have to wait and see if they have anymore, it was crowded after the 4th egg and will be really crowded as the babies grow, should I remove a couple of the eggs to give them more room or will the parents do that?

If the hen can get inside the box and cover the eggs then there is no need to worry. If the box was too small the bird would have not used it . A commercially made woven nest basket for finches is no bigger than an adult fist and my birds regulay use this to hatch clutches of six chicks. Do not remove any eggs and she may surprise you how good a mother she can be.
I own a pet store and care sheets are free on my web site.
