He is dating me for a year and a half plus. Lives in another country. Makes trips to meet up and we spend some great times together.

But he wont say, "He loves me" or wants to spend his life with me.

I do really love him but I am afraid to say so. Because what if I did and lost everything I got with him now.

Besides, we are from two totally diferent countries and he is from the US. I was told by my gfs that men from there just date date date all their life and dont wanna ever commit.

Since break ups are too expensive. How can I know where he is heading?

Whats his agenda? Any guesses?

okay . . . considering the distance . . . he's an american. not all men from america date date date date all their life. a majority of them do because they don't want to commit. that's the trend that's starting here and it angers me. but regardless of that, ask him about the relationship. ask him what he wants out of it. if it's something that doesn't agree with you, move on. don't keep yourself waiting. ask questions from him, even if it's against your nature to do so. if you want the answer, ask the question. and find happiness in your life.

Don't chase him.. The man should always like the woman that little bit more.

Being that any man could steal you away from him as he is so far away, you would think he would tell you his feelings for you, yes? Since he hasn't.. I would say, he is just looking for a friendship with you.
If you want more, tell him how you feel.. If he is a friend, he will stick around and you will be better for knowing the truth even if it hurts at first.. Good luck :)

Have you ever been to see him, met his friends. That will answer a lot of your questions. If the answer is 'yes' the do what my wife did (she was from the UK like me); just wait until there are several witnesses/friends around and then suddenly ask 'When are you going to marry me then?' all my friends clapped and when I looked at them for support they just said 'yes, when are you going to marry her?'

So I did.

if he doesnt propose, do it! what's wrong with that? i did that before! and if he turns his back and make some alibis like not being ready, etc., forget about him! he'll come back if you two are really meant to be. Why waste your time waiting for a man who isnt ready? Life must go on!

If he hasn't said he loves you then it's a bit early to be thinking of getting engaged. Start dropping hints or maybe ask him about planning a holiday together, his response might give you an idea of where he sees your relationship heading.

Oh my god, why don't you just ASK HIM?!?!?!?

And TELL HIM your feelings?!?!?!?!?

If this is someone you want to spend your life with, you should at least be able to do those two things.

Blimey - some people.

well, first of all, i would ask him if i was his booty call or what, because it seems like that, because you guys always spend time together only when he is in the country, so ask him what u mean to him???
