No, it's not. All of the relationships I've seen have allowed both parties to maintain their social lives — although they don't get to spend as much time with their friends of the opposite sex as they used to. Only the most possessive of partners allow/make their SO's friendships die.

yes it is. there are a lot of people in this world today who are haters and who do not like to see anyone happy or dating anyone else. don't let them get to you obviously they are jelous

all people will like to get attension from others if keep a distance they might stay a distance too.
give them some of your time & attension to keep these relations
