Yes, I do! and because I'm a bit overweight people assume the same thing too and ask me if I'm dieting. They think it's absurd when I tell them that I like to eat that food and give me strange looks. They don't believe me.

Yes you can apply what you eat to loose weight. Start by counting calories. First though, if you're still nursing you should speak to your Dr. and talk to her/him first and find out what your caloric intake should be and than cut your calories.

My answer is similar to Vegan and Proud's. I'm also vegan. Last summer, I spent part of my days doing yoga and walking at least two miles. People would tell me that I didn't need to eat like that because I was already thin. These comments came from people who thoguht "healthy" was canned vegetables cooked in margarine. I would think, but not say, "Gee, do you think that part of the reason why I'm thin is because I eat real food?" I would just say that I like what I eat and be done with it.

However, I steer clear of microwave foods. I think they are gimmicky convience foods and I also don't care for microwaves, as to the best of my knowlege, they use radiation to warm food. When I do use them, I am careful not to use plastic, or foam as the chemicals could theoretically cook into the food. (There is an article on the "health-ness" or plastics in the new issue of "Body and Soul".) Yum. That's good eats.

Now that I'm preganant, I'm even more anal about what I eat. And if people don't like it, that's their problme. This is my kid and I'm going to make sure s/he has the best start in life with habits I pray s/he takes with her to her/his children.

I eat alot of fruits and veggies because i'm vegan, people think I'm vegan to lose weight or something, but I don't have any weight to lose.I also don't touch soda, fast food,or any processed foods.sometimes I'll go weeks only eating raw foods, like veggies and fruits and nuts.
