I can't say with 100% that they are all frauds, but I know that there's something about them that gives me a weird/bad/uneasy feeling. My grandparents are into tv evangelists, so I have been exposed to these guys...

Benny Hinn seems way into theatrics and dramatic effect to be completely legitimate. I get tired of seeing people being violently thrashed around as they are supposedly being healed or touched by God. In my experience, God doesn't like to beat people up, and Jesus wasn't interested in terrifying and screeching at people and putting on a 'good show' full of theatrics and shock value.

Jack van Impe and his terrifying wife (Rexella or something?) give me the creeps, but I don't want to say for sure that they aren't Christians. I'm sure that they think they are great Christians, in their own way. I personally don't agree with the tv, money-making, prophesy-spitting approach. Jack seems to know more about what's going to happen in the future than God does!

Peter Popoff is a creep. He's the guy who has the informercials for 'Miracle Spring Water' right? I think he's definitely a fraud, and it disgusts me that he takes advantage of vulnerable people in the name of faith.

All in all, tv evangelists make Christians look like loud-mouthed, judgmental, egomaniacal freaks, and they make me embarassed to tell people I am a Christian because I'm afraid they will think I'm part of that world. I also think that these guys have the potential to drive people away from God because they are so ridiculous (for example, I know someone who is a staunch atheist, and says that growing up he just saw so many evangelist crooks that he lost any respect for Christianity).

What always puts things in perspective for me is this: imagine if Jesus took the place of each one of these guys. Can you imagine him pacing back and forth in a suit and tie, screaming at people and trying to sell them stuff? Nope? Me either.

I'm a Christian, and I think they're all crooks. No doubts. Especially Benny Hinn.

Considering he bought a waterfront mansion with the money that was supposed to be for a aids healing center, yes he is a crook/scam artist.

Sorry, too busy reading the Bible here. Do tell however... this Benny Hinn you speak of. I've heard the name. Not a clue what he has done with his life.

send em to the statue of liberty to "lay hands" on her and first one makes her walk wins.

For the "Christian community" that doesn't know Benny says a lot about how much you know about televangelist.

Legit? What does that mean. These clowns are satanists and
get their evil power from him.
l dont know if any of them were
originally baptized but if so, then indulging in witchcraft cancels
out the baptism since Satan demands that.
