I don't get it when some people die "suddenly" & the cause is unknown when they appeared to be healthy or doing just fine the previous day, then all the sudden they just collapse & die? What exactly is the reason for an "unknown" cause of death, especially when there's no proof of drug overdose, no accidents, not a murder or whatever. Please help me to understand. Thank you...

I don't get it either. I've seen some athletic guys take massive amounts of abuse and walk away smiling. But then I read about one guy who took a punch to the back of his head and he died instantly. One thing I know is: You never know.

Some of them are real or accidental suicides. There is an unwritten rule that Coroners don't give out the cause of death to the press if someone committed suicide if the family requests it.

Others are drug or alcohol overdoses, again Coroners don't give out drug or alcohol overdose to the press if requested by the family.

And it is possible to die and be healthy, a person may be severly allergic to something they never encountered before. Several things can stop your heart, they are rare, but they do happen.

The mind is the soul and it dies when the breath (spirit) of life leaves the body. I would question why do people just suddenly run out of breath.

Maybe God just wanted the person to rest in oblivioin. Life here is scary and when you die, you're mind is shut off in a domrant state awating for the resurrection. The last thing you'll remember after resurrecting is being on your bed. Imagine you went to bed and woke up in the cemetery....that would be weird.

Nobody thats young and healthy just dies out of the blue. People that die and the cause is unknown had a cause,,,it just wasn't found by the autopsy. Maybe they suffered from some prolong disease they never knew about...It happens all the time. You can have a condidtion all your life and not know it, even with your regular check ups...some conditions you have to take specific tests to find out if you have it or not. Nobody just dies, there is always a cause.

Unknown cause is usually Heart Failure with no signs of disease or cause. Basically you die only when your heart stops beating. The question is what stopped the Heart from beating if it was Healthy. Unknown. Wrestler Eddie Guerrero died of a Heart Attack last year. That's a question I wonder why??? He was a very, very active man. He wrestled HARD every night. He died from a Heart Attack while brushing his teeth in the bathroom. That shows that we all are at risk...

If it's 'unknown', then, logically, we don't know the reason.

Maybe their diaphram cramped spasmodically and they suffocated and when they died the muscle relaxed.

Maybe their nervous system simply shut down because of an abnormal confluence of firing patterns.

These two things would leave nothing for an autopsy to discover, so could never be declared 'cause of death' and the death would have unknown cause.

as said, there are many things that can "go wrong" and cause a person to up and die.

an old saying I remember was that the first symptom of heart disease for many is (or used to be) death.simply out of the blue, never having known having previous issues, having a heart attack and not recovering.

The only thing I can say is that when it is your time, its your time. It doesn't matter if you are good or bad, young or old, rich or poor. It doesn't always make sense. There are just things in life that no matter how hard we try to make sense of it, we just can't.
