My doctor has recently put me on prozac, i was taking 40 mg a day for about two months, i was having trouble sleeping so he took me off of it, and out me on Effexor XR, im hearing very bad things about the side effects and withdrawl symptons, etc and i just started on it so im very afraid to take it now. ANY information on this medicine would be greatly appreicate. problems, benefits, side effects, adive, personal experiences pleaseeee.. ANYTHING

I was put on it and I loved it. I gradually got off it. Your doctor is the best person to talk to about this medicine with any concerns you have. Every person is different. What is bad for one person can be a life saver to someone else.
You have to go by how it effects you. Talk with your doctor if you have any problems. good luck!

I have been on effexor for quite a number of months now (225mg) and the only major side effect I have is not being able to (orgasm) If you type in effexor in the search bar you will come up with some answers I hope will help it put my mind at ease a bit. Good luck

I had No side effects with Effexor I actually like it but I will have to tell you I gained 30 lbs on it. Watch that. Going off I I was put on Wellbutrin and really didn't have any withdrawal symptoms that I can remember.

I take it. The main thing I noticed is that I have really really vivid dreams at night. Not like you would expect (from something I have thought about recently, on tv, or anything like that). I mean stuff that is waaay out there. They are also nightmarish in the fact that it seems like I am looking directly into goggles that are connected to the screen and I cannot close them or stop the dream/stop the video. It is wild. HOWEVER, ALL PSYCH DRUGS CAUSE SOME KIND OF SOMETHING DEPENDING ON YOUR BODILY CHEMISTRY'S REACTION TO THE DRUG. would also reccomend taking them early like 8am in the morning. Mine make me sleeepy around 3-4pm and it kills me. Otherwise, no side affects

i was on effexor for about a month i only felt realy queezy in hy stomach with some sharp pain i stopped taking them they did nothing for me i went to thr gym walked in the son lots and got over it.
