Iran is an independant sovereign country. What gives USA the right to demand that Iran must cease nuclear activity, that it cannot develop nuclear power and that it has no right if it so wishes to use the byproduct for military development as the USA already does.

When Dick Cheney was specifically asked if the USA had plans to attack Iran his best answer was that he could not rule out anything.

By what right can the USA attack, or even threaten to attack, another country for developing technology which many other countries already have and when the USA is even spending billions of dollars to upgrade their own nuclear arsenal.

I don't see how anyone can reasonably argue with the response of the president of Iran when he said that he was willing to agree to discontinue nuclear activity before comming to the negotiating table providing that the same rule applied to every country at the table, including the USA.

Well first of all I would like to point out that the Iranian comments about Israel were misquoted and mistranslated. I actually work with some Iranians in germany (they dislike the Iranian govt) but they are always the first to state that Irans leaders did not state that they wanted to wipe Israel off the map. That is simply western propaganda.

Secondly, you completely right. Why should Iran stop their nuclear activity. they need power and every other country in the world is allowed nuclear power. Basically Iran have been reasonable. they said they would stop Uranium enrichment if all other countries do the same.

Iran has not threatened the US with force and they never will. They are not stupid.

The thing is though, that Iran began to trade their oil in Euros in 2006 and this hurts the US economy big time. This is exactly what Saddam did and this is why the US invaded. Up until the end of 2000 everyone including
Bush snr
Condi Rice
Cheney
Rumsfeld
Clinton
all stated that Saddam was contained. He couldn't fart without the US knowing about it. Then he started trading his oil in Euros. At first the US laughed because Saddam was actually losing money and the US could get oil cheaper because €1 was worthe on $0.83. Then on the back of this oil trading in Euros the Euro began to strengthen and the dollar weakened to todays value of €1 buying $1.3. As the dollar is tied to the oil traded (all oil is traded in dollars) the US economy relies on this status quo. Iran have now rocked the boat again and Venezuela are thinking of following suit. Seen how Chavez is becoming more and more unpopular with the US govt?

Yep. The undesirable adult males p.c.. the president and attacking Iran will deliver the cost of oil contained in the direction of the roof and the undesirable adult males make a fortune out of intense oil fees so sure, that's clever the undesirable guy directed u . s . will attack Iran. that's a threat the U. S. proxy, Israel, would attack Iran, because of the fact the undesirable adult males prefer to Holocaust Israel and an indignant international hurting from intense oil fees would pass alongside with Holocaust ing Israel.

The advantage of having the most powerful military in the world lets you decide what other people should do.
Saying that, nuclear weapons in the hands of Iran is a disaster waiting to happen, and if the USA doesn't do something about it then Israel probably will. Either way, World War 3 here we come. Whilst we're nuking Iran, suicide bombers are letting rip on us. Whatever happens, Iran will be glassed but we'll be hurting as well.

You can talk until "Kingdom come", Iran is still defiant, never contemplating halting its nuclear program; on the contrary it was reported they intensified it (El Badarei - Chief of UN IAEA).

Double standard or not, US, UN hyprocrisy, whatever... the world has changed when nations disregard "internationally acceptable" behaviour - then the argument: "they have, so can we" NO LONGER APPLY. Not when an extremist state threatens the existence of another - unacceptable behaviour.

Iran wants to talk now? O-o-o-k-a-a-y... stop enrichment get it verified, then we'll talk.

The military option IS an option - it would be stupid to rule it out.

The President of Iran has made recent statements that he wants to destroy Israel. He has also been accused of participating in kidnapping of American hostages in Iran back in 1979! He is not a very balanced person. We cannot allow an individual like this to possess nuclear weapons.

As much as you dislike the USA, we have protected the free world by providing military support and military bases all over the world. Why would you want to enable a mad man like the President of Iran to have nuclear weapons?

The USA is good, Iran is evil. You have it all wrong. Saddam was the bad one, not George Bush. It was Saddam that killed millions of his own people. WHere is the outrage for that?

It isnt so much that Iran is trying to develop a fission weapon..The question to be asked is WHY is Iran trying to develop a nuclear bomb?..Will it be Allahs holy bomb?..Almost certainly it will be seen that way by islamic fanatics, they will want to use it as soon as they get their hands on it!..In the name of Allah, they could get rid of Israel.. Destroy wall street...All the enemys of Allah could be slaughtered..They believe in all this maniacal insane stuff!..They've said so again and again!..The question is do you let them?..think about it!.
