i have a problem getting myself out there to meet new guys and just friends in general, what are good places to mingle for a female in her early 20s? besides the obvious clubs and bars..

Think about all your interests, and how you can exploit them. If you like reading movies (READING them, as opposed to watching them), you could try looking for guys at the local film festival. If you belong to a particular pop culture fanbase, you can attend conventions to which that fanbase belongs. If you like enjoying a cup of coffee, maybe you can meet guys at Barnes & Noble and grab a drink on his way out. :)
Of course this is only a theory that I've heard that's supposedly successful. I don't really have many interests with which this theory could be applied into practice, so I can't speak from experience.... :P lol

depends on what type of people you're into. if you're interested in finding like-minded individuals such as yourself, try places that interest you. i could go crazy and tell you to join the military, but i doubt that you would. hahaha. not that i blame you, but you meet sooo many people from all walks in life. all my military friends are friends for life. and i met my husband in the military. believe it or not, military guys are in shape, usually intelligent (hahah), ambitious, creative and the like. and they know how to celebrate life. you can meet people anywhere honestly. just let your feet guide you to places that catch your eye.
