Baptist is a denomination of Protestant Christianity.

They are christians, and just have a particular view of christianity.

I more apt question would be, "What is the difference between Baptist beliefs and Methodist beliefs?" or something along those lines, as they are both christian denominations with some minor dissagreements in doctrine.

Baptists are a denomination, or subset, of Christianity. Well, true Baptists are. Then you have people like Fred Phelps and his "Westboro Baptist Church" which is no form of Christianity, just a hate group trying to look legitimate.
