Between Shia, and Sunni?
What can be done.
I am asking this out of concern, that this is one of the fundamental questions that we all must ask.

The only way the rift will end, is to realise that in Islam considers only one sect to be correct.

Now how do we know the which sect is the right one...? Is it mentioned anywhere? Nope.

The only way is to realise is that the true sect of Islam are the people who follow the guidance of the Quran and sahih hadith.

The division between Shia and Sunni is mostly political.

The problem is that society as a whole has divided these two sects up so much. In America, there really isn't that sort of division. Most Muslims don't even consciously categorize themselves as Sunni or Shia.

Once people (including the feuding Muslims) realize that they are following the exact same religion, then the conflict will be over.

Will that ever happen? who knows.

If we need to know the now, we must know the history of these two groups.

The majority of muslims do not have any problems accepting history and events in islamic history. Shiia are still very much bitter about the murder of The Prophets grandchildren: Hasan and Hussain, who were the sons of Ali bin Abi Talib.

Now Ali was the cousin of Prophet Muhammad. He was also the last Caliph and the current Shiia movement, are his fans.

They chose to seperate themselves from the mainstream Islam on account of Ali being forced into being the last Caliph and they think he should have been the first.

Now thats a bit of history, as for Iraq, no one can solve the two from hating or killing each other. The only solution is to remind them constantly that the Prophet would have been doubly ashamed of the events that are taking place there.

My solution is to use democracy, use diplomacy and speak to these people, like equals, on a level, eventually like any other cultural clash, they will have to solve it themselves.

No one can else can do it for them.

Reminding them of the teachings of Islam is the only thing that will work morally and giving them the chance to proliferate as people, to get back their economy I think will help a lot, because hunger can do a lot to a persons thinking. You normally do not see such clashes among rich people, or people who are at least economically stable.

Look, basicly it's like this between Shias and Sunnis.

The Sunni believes that the true teachings of Islam lies in the...well, teachings. Basicly Sunnis believe what the companions of the prophet said, just plain teaching.

While the Shias believe the best source would be the decendant of Muhammad, or anyone related to Muhammad by blood. But then again being related to Muhammad doesn't mean you're going to be always right, does it?

Think of it this way, Shia and Sunni in Islam is like Catholics and Protestants. Simple as that.

Was there any problem among the Muslims b4? Be it between the sunny and the shia or any other Muslims groups. The answer was none. But why today there are having problems among themself ? This are the dirty trick of the third party to get the Muslims to fight with each other. They, the third party , use the dirty trick to reduce the population of the Muslims by instigating another group of Muslims to create problems with the other group. They will do things to one of the group and instigate another group to retaliate. As such, the two Muslims group will start to fight with each other. Eventually, the third party will destroy both groups of Muslims and invade their country. Unfortunately the Muslims were blinded with all the promises from the third party and never realise that they are killing their own people. As such, the rift will never healed unless the Muslims open their eyes and see things from difference perspective.

It can be healed if we helped each other for where there is common consent, and forgive each other for differences....
