PLEASE SEE MY PREVIOUS QUESTION TO SEE WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT....

a lot of the answers that i received, had something to do with "if they get money, then they would be able to take care of their kids...."

I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT MONEY PROBLEMS.....IF YOU CANT "SUPPORT" YOUR CHILD....THEN YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE IT!!

THERE ARE PLENTY OF PEOPLE, WHO HAVE MONEY, THAT KNOW NOTHING ABOUT RAISING CHILDREN....OR TREAT THEIR KIDS LIKE DIRT!

i DO NOT know Brittney Spears' situation....but from what i hear on the news and everytime i turn on the t.v. or radio or the computer....she is doing SOMETHING wrong.....what about people like her??? should something be done about them?? (not necessarily her - she is just a reference that is always in the public eye....she might be a GREAT parent behind closed doors and camera's)

just because you have money, doesn't mean that you are going to have the best life.....

i have rich parents and they're terrible parents. i work hard and am doing well in school, i won all sorts of titles and honors in the 3 sports i played in high school, i never got in trouble with the cops or teachers nor did i ever skip school. im also going to a good college now.

and all i hear is criticism about how im such a huge embarassment to the family.

so no, simply having money doesn't make you a good parent. it makes it possible to provide better opportunities to your children. a good parent will realize this and provide. my parents choose to ignore this and blame me for wasting their money on "stupid stuff like college cuz now they can't take another vacation this year"

I haven't read your previous question, but I guarantee you that having money does not automatically make you a good parent.

Actually most people with a lot of money aren't very good parents at all. A lot of people with money have nannies raise their kids for the most part. Or they spoil their kids by giving them everything in the world that they end up doing drugs and don't begin to know how to live in the real world.

Nothing makes a better parent than loving a child with all your heart and spending as much time as possible with them while they are growing up. You can be poor as can be and still be a wonderful parent by teaching your child right from wrong and by spending time with them.

A good parent spends quality time with their children upon a consistent basis. They do their best to love, cherish, and teach their child. As well as protect, guide, and give healthy support to their children.

I would think that if you had a lot of money. You are probably not around much to begin with. Thus, without a parent around to do those things in the first place. Well, I think you get where I am going.

But, you are correct there. Money does not make a parent a parent. Time, dedication, love, and all that GRAND stuff is what makes a parent a great parent.

NOTE: I am not a parent and do not aspire to be one anytime in the near to later future. I was just raised with parents who in my opinion did the best they could. Not to mention the fact that I like to observe. Growing up in a family you get to see other families and that is where I drew my conclusions from.

True, i think having money certainly gives you, as a parent more opportunity for your children. Just because you have money may not necessarily mean you are a great parent, there are those who have no money and are great parents.
And No, Money doesn't automatically make you a good parent.
So don't be hard on yourself no one is perfect when it comes to parenthood.
Parenthood comes with making vital decisions, pain staking rules, ongoing stress, losses and gain and so on but thats the fulfilment of being a parent. We are always learning, even Britney Spears.
We have enough to worry about without kicking ourseves while we are down.

True. Having money does not automatically make you a great parent.
I have had a certain little teenage girl that emails me on here claiming she is a better parent than me because she has lived in so many different places i mean come on don't that sound so dumb? That sounds to me as someone unstable.
Anyhow i am a good mom and i do the best i can. All that matters is if you are a good parent with or without money.

Just because one is a celebrity doesn't mean one has money. When one is a celebrity they have a number of people who get paid BEFORE they do. There are agents, publiscits, backers, managers, stylists, hair stylists, make up artists, booking/casting agents, photographers (yes celebes have their own...where do you think TomKat got the photos of Suri that they were trying to sell?), nutritionists, personal trainers, body guards, personal assistants, home secuirty guards, home maintence crews, gardners, butlers, maids, chaffeurs, choreographers, if they are a musical act there are back up singers and musicians, if they tour there are the roadies, back up singers and musicians, dance troupe, shipping companies to haul the sets, props and instraments, the buses, planes, trains to haul the performers. and then FINALLY the celebrity get's paid about as much as any other single working mom on the planet. So bringing up Brittney as someone with "money"...that's a laugh...all she has right now are her investments that her parents made for her when she was younger and she can't touch those until she "retires" from the business which she might as well do now because she's gone from wannabe to hasbeen to hasbeenwannabe

but back to the subject at hand...Does having money make one a good parent. Well having money can ease the stress on parents. This in turn makes them happier as well as healthier and in my opinion happy and healthy parents are a hell of alot better than over stressed miserable parents trying to scrape together enough money to purchase grade D meat (one step above dog food) to put on the table for the evening meal. Stress causes depression, heart attacks as well as strokes...you can't parent very well from inside a rubber room or rehab, you can't parent very well from an intensive care ward hospital bed with heart monitors and ivs and oxygen masks. While it may not make one a good parent...having money makes it a lot easier TO parent.

Children are born to us as gifts from God.

My children were born in their birthday suits and no money was found on the bodies.

The answer to your answer is, treat them as a true gift from God!

Give of Yourself!! Love, Nurture, Read to them, Play with them, Talk to them, Listen to them, Love unconditionally. Teach them Right from Wrong, Responsibilty, how to truly Love,by your Actions in their Lives and them seeing how you live your Life Emotionally and Spiritually.

Money will buy clothes, food, shelter, toys, education, etc. But giving of yourself is Priceless!

I had a single mom who worked 16 hours every day, and always said there was never enough money. Truth of the matter is, it never mattered, because my brother and I were always happy enough to have each other.
