Just curious, why would you consider a boarding school? Is he unruley or a disciplin problem?? A slow learner needs a patient teacher not necessarily a new place to live. Perhaps special ed classes would be beneficial or a tutor who specializes in this field. Have you considered any of those options? Perhaps you should before you entertain the idea of tossing your kid out the door based on the fact that he has a learning dissabilty. Sounds like you've given up on him...and are placing your needs before his. Perhaps your're becoming frustrated... but thats no excuse. This is parent hood...get used to it, roll up your sleeves and deal with it.

Just wondering why? You haven't given much background. Is he a slow-learner because he is being a stupid teen and you can't manage him or does he actually have a mental disability? What's going on that has made you consider boarding school?
