Ok, some of you do not understand key vocabulary words like SUPPOSE and ULTIMATE. So, I am going to help you out. 1. Supposed -as for the sake of argument or as part of a proposition or theory 2.ULTIMATE-last; furthest or farthest; ending a process or series.

I hope this helps those of you that seem to have comprehension issues, because the question was very clear. Its very funny to me that when a question is asked of an Atheists MOST of you become very defensive. Is it because you are not sure of what you believe? You are all so quick to attack someone else’s religion. Why, MOST of you seem to be insecure about your beliefs. What’s the problem?

Firstly, there is no god anyway, which really makes your question worthless, because by giving an answer, you are in effect asking atheists to recognise that there is a god.
If, however, we change the question slightly to " Suppose the universe never existed, what ultimate difference would that make?" then it becomes a much more honest question. The answer to that is simple. How would we know? We simply wouldn't exist, because nothing would exist.

If the universe never existed then what would the apart from God part of your question mean. There would be no questions first of all. Next the universe exists fine without God. If God never existed the universe would not notice.

God can exist without the universe existing. The non-existence of the universe would say nothing about God.

Now that's what I call a hypothetical!
Any god that was part of the universe, up to and including all of it (pantheism) would not exist. But no-one would exist to worry about it.
Any god who was outside the universe (If the concept is permitted) would still exist. But no-one would exist to worry about it.

If the universe never existed, we wouldn't be here. Therefore, we have no need for God. Whoever believes in God as a creator that magically created everything in 7 days is a fool.

Had the universe never existed, then by nature, god(s) wouldn't either, since no life existed to create them.

I'll bet your that guy that when asked if you believe that the bible is the infallible word of God, you say, "Yes, because in the bible it says so." and then whenever I show you how circular your reasoning is you say, "well, that's where faith comes in..." So all I have to say to you is that I believe you need to re-examine your faith, and if I can't prove that, then I'll just say..."That's where faith comes in".

What a strange question. We wouldn't be here, of course. I like to exist, so that would be bad.

It would mean that neither you nor I would exist, in which case the whole issue would be of only academic interest.
