If you were to throw away politics, Civilian Casulties, and Rules of Engagement, and put the United States up against any country in the world in a fight to the finish could any country beat them one on one?

My idea:
I personally beleive the united states could kick anyone's as s in a war one on one... The united states has enough nukes, and bombs to put the planet into nuclear winter and devistation caused by radiation that would kill all life in the world. We have roughly 1 million troops, thousands of nukes and 100,000's of planes and ships. China would be our only tough matchup just due to population but I personally beleive we would beat them in the long run.

Please share your thoughts with me, whether you disagree or agree with me saying that no one can match the United States... But think logically and use your head...

(dont say england either because we could blow the island off the map with nukes)

The only group that can defeat the US military is Congress by tying everyone's hands behind their backs and limiting what they're allowed to do. Throw away politics and rules of engagement and the US would wipe any country off the map even without nuclear weapons.

No one can defeat the yanks in a full scale war. It is not a matter of manpower or attrition, but for the simple fact that the US is a sovereign superpower. By that I mean that they have the power to destroy the entire world and therefore in an all out war (not a conflicted minor war such as the one in Iraq) where their homeland and government is threatened, they would go down swinging and would wipe out the entire planet in the process. I've been to the US and worked there and with them long enough to know this.
Now with regard to skirmishes like Iraq, try to draw the distinction between war and policing. What happened in the first couple of months in Iraq was a war. What is going on now is just a police action. And in the case of a police action, the America's worst enemy is itself. Public opinion and politics has a far better chance of defeating the US military than any other worldly army.
That being said, I must also point out that I believe that both the Russian and Chinese are equally undefeatable and for the same reason. No country on earth, the yanks included, would attack either Russia or China with the intention of total conquest. We might see some skirmishes where any one of the three are driven out of a remote territory by one of the others, but they will always stop just short of the other country's border.

The 4th of July is a party of yank independence from super Britain. not something extra, not something much less. The wars between the yank cavalry and American Indian tribes interior the West did not end till extra advantageous than a century had exceeded considering that 1776.

So dont the Russians, in a conventional war we would destroy them we have more planes, ships, subs but they have more Tanks and Missles so neither of us would win a nuclear war convetionally no we are pretty un-matched in the world but you add a whole new demention on it when you add nukes.

I beleive that in an actual war, without our hands tied as in Iraq, yes we could defeat any nation in the world. We are a military super power. I don't believe that is a bad thing either. I sleep much better at night knowing that I will always have the freedoms afforded me by the constitution.

The U.S. will undoubtedly win in a war against any nation for now. What would be the answer if you ask the same question in 20, 50 or 100 years from now?. I doubt that it can still be the U.S..
