ive heard that korean girls tend NOT to date people of other countries ...is this true???? are they forbidded or something....serious question...plz not flaming

In Korea, many Korean girls do date foreigners. I've been living there for years and have dated a few (I'm American).
However, some of the more traditional families look down on it, and will forbid their daughters to marry a foreigner. Just dating may not be a problem, because you do not meet her family unless you plan to marry. Over the years, I've heard a lot of stories about couples who were seeing each other for a long time break up when it comes time to get more serious because her family said "No way."
Also, a lot of Korean girls just don't bother dating foreigners if there is a language barrier.
Keep in mind, I'm talking about what they do in Korea. I can't say anything about how they are in other countries. I've heard that some of them can be even MORE traditional, while others are of course adopting the customs of the country they happen to live in, dating and marrying whoever they want.
I'd say, if she's not even willing to date you, give up. And if she is, just sound her out and see not only what she thinks about being with a foreigner, but what her family thinks, as very often they have the last word in who the daughter marries.

I have a friend in Korea and she dated + is still dating a foreigner so this isnt true. Her family and friends know, so for her this hasnt been a problem.
Koreans are one of the most lovely people I have met. Very direct and open and very friendly, funny. I really like Korean people :)
Hmmm.. propably there is a difference between Nord and Southkorea. But I dont think people of Nord Korea get a chance to meet foreigners anyway since they dont seem to get out of it, only if they are very very rich.

I think most Korean girl include me don't care about that.
But old people and parents don't like it...

They are allowed to date other nationalities as long as that person drives a Kia.

Koreans are Racist, Stupid and stubborn as are most races. Most people date people from their own race.
