There's Judism, Christianity, Catholic, Muslim, Buddists, etc....somewhat similar yet completely different beliefs going on there...how do you know youre not following a false prophet? What if on judgement day youre sent to hell for having the wrong beliefs? Kinda scary.

Some religions dont believe in praying to statues, where as thats what Catholics and Buddists do. I'm sure they think theyre "doing the right thing", but other beliefs contradict that...thats what I mean. Who's really right, and who's really wrong?

Lack of faith or self doubt is what satan is about. Christianity teaches that there will be false profits and doctrines of devils.

while it does say in the bible if you believe in lie you cannot be saved, it does say we are saved by GRACE too.
and it also depends on your theology, I have come to believe there TRULY is more than one heaven, and in addition to the the 9 degrees of the resurrection there is Still ONE PLACE higher than that,
So even if you believe in a small detail that is false, if you still have a sincere and PURE FAITH in Christ, there is some degree of salvation.
However, it is also written clearly that Everyone Goes through the SECOND death, but only the pure in heart are saved from that death. So it wont matter if you are muslims or catholic or protestant, if you fail that one test.

As an agnostic, I think all prophets are false, especially since there's so much disagreement among them.

I think that, if there is some sort of Higher Power that's infinitely good, he or she probably won't hold you accountable for following the wrong prophet.

If your honest, and want to follow Jesus with all your heart, then you will be saved. God will work out a way for you to find truth, atleast about basic salvation.

But if you just say you want to follow Jesus, and do whatever, or if somebody comes to you with a different view and you just ignore them instead of listening, then you have forfeited your own salvation.

God bless!

there is no right and /or wrong ,heaven [and hell ]are infinite,
we are sepperated in the ways we believe not in the belief in god,
god has sent many servants to men ,belief is just a way that we who all have misconceptions can buy the same corrections in time know the one true god

say we blieve in the trinity in heaven we in time mature this faith to the truth of the one god and we his many children ,importantly for now is to have belief in god and if not in the god .belief in the qualities of god ;good , truth ,love life ,light ,then in our own time in company with the others of same belief to learn the true god ,

who many even departed ,let alone living cannot even percieve yet concieve ,but half belief is enough ,for now to allow us to draw closer by loving the good
we do the good for greater purpose ,god can be likened to an all loving billion ton puppy ,just loves every one ,every thing the only perfect ,who has but to think and it is ,god is not wrathfull nor are those who serve the all love ,god judges no one ,pours out wrath upon no one ,god is the eternal now ,life ,live time ,not in a book or in an unknown future but that right now ,the living love now ,the closer we draw to gods true light the closer we look upon love ,truth ,so pure ,so innocent so perfect it can take 2 thousand years even for the most perfect of man ,just to draw near ,
but no fear
to fear hate ,and all the other sins is to draw our being away from god ,hell is darkness with all the oppisites man and beast may choose to despoil ,but god loves them none the less , for god is grace ,where life is is god ,even though those in the darkness reject god god still sustains the most vile to live

we all repent in time ,thus to judge any is to condem our selves by our own chosen ,reasoned darkness
god dont judge why we?

If you were in prison (and we are) and Jesus was standing at the prison door wide open, would you choose to bend the bars to get out, dig through the cement blocks, scratch through the floor, or would you just accept His offer and go through the door that He has opened?

Jesus is the answer not religion. Jesus is what salvation is about.

That's why you should never base your entire beliefs on what one person says. If there's a truth, it'll come out through all of them. I believe it does, and that that truth is love.

The short answer is that all prophets are false. There is not a one who can or could offer anything of value about anything.

No one book, or one man, or one religion on earth, speaks exclusively for the Gods. Beware of false prophets. Here is how to tell who a true person of God is: This person will spend his time contemplating eternal principles, giving service to mankind, and praying for the human condition. This person will be a servant to his fellow man. He will function within the confines of service to others. For service to mankind is the only commodity of value there is in the Universe and in the hereafter. This person of God will feed the spiritual needs of others. Upon finding another person hungry for spiritual truth the true person of God will not just feed this hunger, lest that person become dependent upon him every time spiritual nourishment is needed. The true person of God will teach, and give directions to others, on how to spiritually feed themselves, and then instruct them to do likewise for others. Also, the face of the true person of God will shine and the words he speaks will be quiet and peaceful, rather than the cry of a man trying “to rule the fools.” (For the true sprit of God is a whisper to the soul) The message spoken by a true person of God will not be a message giving himself honor, riches, power, or saying he is chosen of God, thus creating a following. Nor will he spread hatred between men. His message will be acceptance of diversity among mankind and service to others without guile. His goal will be to take mankind’s diversity, tensions, and conflicts and integrate them into a cooperative effort. Also, his earthly livelihood will not depend upon money given to him from those he spiritually feeds, lest his focus becomes warped and he develops a lust for power and thus has a notion of himself being chosen exclusively by God above all others. Also, the true person of God will live his life enjoying the variety of life’s righteous pleasures and not be consumed with an unbalanced service to God and the spreading of His joy and goodness through daily dogma, ceremony, and ritual. His life is one of example and not the public display of praises to the Lord. Belonging to an organized religion brings safety in daily life and is good as long as it accepts the rights of other religious groups to exist and does no harm to others. Listen to your inner voice and be not led by others who preach for money and seek power and control by instilling fear and guilt within you.
