I think really maybe biting the apple might be a misinterpreted by use humans. Really what I think is that biting the apple means Eve slept with Adam, because god does say "Be Fruitful" which means to spread like a plant or a fruit "Apple". Then again I might be wrong too. It was all meant to happen the way it was done, or else we would not exist. Or you wouldn't be asking this question.

It's interesting becaue in the Islamic version of the story of Adam and Eve, they decided to eat the fruit together.
Eve didn't convince Adam, and childbirth wasn't a punishment for anything.
