I heard this from some people in Malaysia. They said that the Pope secretly prayed according to Islamic ritual and converted by reciting the shahadah just before he died. Once in Malaysia, there was a former catholic priest who once studied at the Vatican and has discovered that the Pope actually kept the Quran in a secret vault and is used for importat ordainment and ritual. I just hope to see whether anyone elsewhere head on this. This rumous was famous during the events leading and after the Pope's departure from this world to the next.

Love the cheeky question, but in all honesty I believe Pope John Paul II was a true believer in his Catholic faith. What's more, I think he would have given up both heaven and an eternity with 72 virgins for just another ten years of good health so he could continue his work here on Earth.

1> No.
2> He was a good Christian, even in Islamic belief good Christians and Jews deserve Heaven.

About the same odds as Muhammad converting to Catholicism.

By the way, since when is your soul saved by converting to Islam?

Why in the world would he do something stupid like that. Trading one false religion for another?
