My new cat who adopted my son & I is fairly large & long (he's 2-3 yrs. old), mostly black, some white, has green eyes, long thin tail, larger ears than my tabby had. His face is more square than pointed like a Siamese. But he's a non-stop talker (& yowler, especially when he wants to go out-but waits for me to go w/him). He growls like a dog when hearing noises near the house. He's very dedicated & wants to be near me almost all the time. He'll sit & stay when I ask. Also, why does he knead & stick his nose into things he likes, like stuffed toys & blankets? When I imitate a bird - 2 whistles, he nudges me & meows back 3 "syllables", a bit bothered. I'd love to receive as much input as possible. I have some photos as well. Both my son & I love him to pieces & we know he feels the same towards us. Thanks a lot!

Yes a picture would definitely help. Does your cat have long or short hair? From what you describe it is hard to tell. He may be Siamese and more. You could go to the library and get a book on cats. You should be able to find one about cat breeds that will show you pictures and a little about the different breeds habits and etc.
Sounds like you got adopted by a pretty intelligent cat. Maybe you could ask the cat what breed he is! LOL
Good luck

Well, Siamese cats have blue eyes, their fur is usually a very light brown or beige. Their points, ears, face, paws and tail are a darker brown. They vocalize a lot as most cats do. Just go into your search engine and type in Siamese cats. Links will come up and you can pick and choose which ones you want to look at. It's normal for your cat to talk. I have had cats that have said words or syllables too. As far as kneading and sucking on things. He's thinking he is with his mother as that is the way they nurse from their moms when they are babies. He is happy and content in his nice home, that is his way of showing it. He sounds like a smart cat if he growls when hearing noises and stays when you tell him too. He's a great cat and I hope he gives you many years of enjoyment as well.

um........picture please. and then I can tell you what he is. oh......are his eyes crossed? and is his face pointy? chances are, if his eyes are crossed and his face is pointy, he's a siamese.
