It's usually temporary. However, if you're concerned about it because of possible bacteria, I'm sure the milk was contaminated with lots of germs, but fortunately the body produces many germ-killing substances throughout the gastrointestinal tract--beginning with saliva in the mouth--so there is a good chance the germs were neutralized or have passed right on through you without causing harm. However, if you should develop signs of an infection such as fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or abdominal pain in the next few days, it would be a good idea to talk with your health care provider and mention the milk episode.
Good luck to you.

When I was younger, I ate an 'old' ice cream sandwich and was sick the entire rest of the night throwing up and shaking. It's as bad as the flu!

Only a spoonful though? Idk... If the milk was really old, I wouldn't be concerned. Your symptoms sound right-on for food poisoning (except the cough) and should clear up within 24 hours. If not, go see a doctor.

milk is such a delicate liquid, that is why when acquiring one you should be aware of its expiration date..

milk, on the other hand, if took spoiled, has too much bacteria and it can cause unexpected problems in a certain amount of time..

i should say you should go and ask professional help, you must take prescriptions from the doctor and drink plenty of water to wash out those harmful toxins..
